State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA)

Kittitas County is proposing updates to its Comprehensive Plan and associated Development Regulations as required under the Washington Growth Management Act (GMA). The updates include revisions to plan goals, policies, and implementing regulations to address population growth, land use, housing, transportation, capital facilities, utilities, economic development, climate change and resiliency, and other required GMA elements. The proposal is a nonproject action and does not authorize specific development.

Kittitas County is issuing a public comment period under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) for the Draft Kittitas County Comprehensive Plan, including the Climate and Resiliency Element, Draft Easton Subarea Plan, Draft Development Regulations, and Draft Critical Area Ordinance.

The public comment period will be open from May 7, 2026 through May 22, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. (PST).
