Kittitas County is issuing a 30-Day public comment period for the Draft Kittitas County Comprehensive Plan, with the new Climate and Resiliency Element, and the Draft Easton Subarea Plan. The public comment period will be open between January 29, 2026 until March 2, 2026 at 5pm PST.

Verbal Comments: The Planning Commission will accept verbal comments at the scheduled hearing for the draft Comprehensive Plan and Easton Subarea Plan. Visit https://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/ for exact dates, locations, and times of the Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners meetings.

To provide public comment after the 30-day comment period closes you can attend a public hearing and provide verbal testimony.

​

The Kittitas County Planning Commission intends to hold a public in-person hearing for the Comprehensive Plan with the new Climate Element and Easton Subarea Plan on March 17, with potential extensions of the public hearing on March 18 and 19 if additional time is needed.

​

The Board of County Commissioners will hold two public hearings with the opportunity to provide public comment. One hearing will be for the Comprehensive Plan update with the new Climate Element and Easton Subarea Plan. The second hearing will be for both the development regulations and critical areas ordinance update.
